Caitlin Strebing, LSW

Cate Strebing is a Licensed Social Worker. She attended the University at Albany and earned her bachelor's in Social Work with a focus on mental health and education. She went on to receive her Masters of Social Work from the University at Buffalo where she specialized in behavioral health and trauma informed care. 

 

Cate has experience working with adolescents, teens, and adults, and utilizes a wide range of techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She has experience with trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, self-harm, and disordered eating. 

 

She understands that counseling can be uncomfortable and unfamiliar to many, and recognizes the need for developing a positive relationship and familiarity to the treatment of mental health. Clients needs are always valued first, and developing confidence and readiness to change will be offered to support clients along the way. All clients have unique stories and skill sets that will be utilized during the healing process.
