Emily Baker, PhD, LPCC

Emily is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She earned her doctorate in Counselor Education from The Ohio State University and her master’s in clinical mental health counseling from University of Cincinnati.

 

Emily has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in various settings. She is equipped to support clients with concerns related to substance misuse, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, stress management, and identity.

 

Emily strives to incorporate the biological, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of clients’ lives and draws from various evidence-based treatment modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

 

Emily takes a nonjudgmental approach to counseling and enjoys infusing mindfulness, self-compassion, and humor into her work with clients. Emily truly enjoys hearing clients’ stories, being witness to growth, and assisting clients in finding meaning, connection, and empowerment throughout each step of the process.
