Kaye Tchoula, LSW

Kaye Tchoula is a Licensed Social Worker. She earned her Master of Science degree at Case Western Reserve University, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Indiana University.

Kaye has experience assisting those who struggle to cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal conflicts, grief and loss, personality disorders, and stressful life transitions. She has also worked in the crisis intervention setting, supporting those who experience psychotic and severe mood disorder symptoms. She has worked primarily with adults and couples, providing both individual and group therapy.

Kaye helps clients identify and utilize their unique strengths through a wide variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy, task-centered practices, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness/relaxation techniques.

Kaye understands that clients may feel vulnerable when sharing negative thoughts, feelings, and experiences. She believes the client and therapist must develop trust, transparency, and open communication in order for therapy sessions to be effective. Her primary goal is to strengthen her patients’ confidence, increase internal motivation for positive change, and develop hopefulness for the future. She will always use a strengths-based approach in treatment, reminding her clients that they can be resourceful and resilient when faced with adversity.
