Madison Getz, LPC

Madison Getz (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ohio University, and her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling at Ohio State University. 


She enjoys working with individuals aged 18 and up. She has experience working with the following clinical populations: eating disorders, substance abuse, individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, and many other presenting concerns. 


Madison utilizes a range of therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the client. She draws from client-focused, strengths-based approaches, and is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.


Madison believes that each of her clients already have the answers within them and that they need someone to walk alongside them to help guide toward solutions and positive wellbeing. She enjoys incorporating humor into her approach and always strives to make her clients feel comfortable.


Madison believes that an authentic and deep connection is fundamental to the therapeutic relationship and ultimately reaching the client’s goals. She is passionate about the field of counseling and strives to guide clients in improving their life satisfaction. Madison desires to help her clients *thrive* rather than simply survive.
