Shannon Connolly, LPCC

Shannon Connolly is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for the State of Ohio. She attended The Ohio State University, where she earned her master’s degree in the clinical mental health counseling track and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology.

 

Shannon approaches counseling through a person-centered, multicultural lens that values support, empathy, and cultural humility. Her approach to counseling is primarily cognitive behavioral, and she frequently use interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

 

Shannon has a wealth of experience using interventions from these approaches while working with emerging young adults experiencing life transitions and international students dealing with radical cultural adjustments. Her professional interests include relationship concerns, eating concerns, trauma history and anxiety and depressive disorders.

 

Shannon enjoys camping and hiking, and loves music, especially folk and alternative. She also loves to eat and enjoys cooking and baking.
