Hannah Jin, LSW

Hello, my name is Hannah and I am a licensed social worker! I received my bachelor's in psychology and master's in social work from the Ohio State University.

I work from an eclectic, psycho-dynamic approach grounded in feminist and intersectional frameworks. This means we explore how early experiences and relationship patterns shape the present, while also recognizing that mental health is influenced by larger systems. Many struggles are connected to family dynamics, societal expectations, oppression, and lived experiences. I aim to hold both the personal and the systemic in our work together.

Integrating evidence-based methods, including CBT, DBT, ACT, exposure therapy (when appropriate), mindfulness, and somatic approaches. I believe that therapy should be collaborative rather than prescriptive. I tailor each session to individual preferences, feedback, and evidenced based measures. I also use psycho-education to help individuals understand the factors behind their experiences, which can make challenges feel clearer and more manageable.

Working with adults 18+, including young adults and college students navigating life transitions and identity development, I have experience supporting individuals with complex trauma (including childhood abuse, poverty), emetophobia, anxiety, and depression. I also help clients manage life stress, body image concerns, adjustment to chronic illness, and issues relevant to the layered experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals and 1.5–2nd generation immigrants.

My style is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I offer virtual therapy for accessibility and flexibility.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy cooking Korean cuisines, making clay trinkets, supporting my community, and spending time with my spouse and our two cats.
