Kayla Maloy, LPCC

I have been a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2017. Previously, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in counseling from the University of Toledo and my Master of education degree in counselor education with a specialization in Clinical mental health counseling from Ohio University.

I have experience in both the group and individual therapy settings with clients of all ages, genders, and nationalities. Additionally, I have extensive experience in crisis assessment and intervention services.

I have experience working with clients on anything from grief and trauma, to substance use, anxiety, and depression. Understanding that each client is an individual with a unique background and values, I believe in taking an eclectic approach to mental health treatment and have experience in utilizing therapeutic modalities including Cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psycho education, and solution focused approaches. At the core of my therapeutic orientation, I believe that emotional validation is the key to developing the therapeutic relationship with my clients and sustaining recovery.
