Sarah Morris, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Previously, I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Ohio State University.
I have experience working with college students, older adults, and diverse populations. My clinical skills assist those who struggle with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, life transitions, grief and loss, couple’s issues, and parenting concerns. I also specialize in issues related to unresolved childhood trauma and attachment wounds.
My primary approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also incorporate Attachment Theory, Rational Emotive Behavioral Theory (REBT), Multicultural Theory, and Mindfulness techniques into my practice.
My hope is to create a relaxed and welcoming space where clients feel that they can share their stories and gain insight about deeper issues. I am passionate about helping people develop greater self-awareness and self-compassion. I love the use of metaphors and often incorporate props and visuals into my work.
When I have some free time, I usually spend it with my husband and three kids. I also enjoy alone time when I can listen to music, read, tend to my houseplants, work outside, or go for long walks
